PepsiCo partnered with IBM iX to help them develop a new virtual platform to allow their marketing teams to collaborate more efficiently across their North American brands. The marketing landscape had become an endless array of useless tools, processes, functions, and roles which left marketers feeling confused and frustrated.

To relieve their teams and streamline productivity, IBM helped create Canvas. A collaborative marketing workflow application that gives real-time access to insights across each brand in the Pepsi Beverages, Frito-Lay, Quaker Oats, & Juice portfolio globally.

Canvas is a first of its kind intelligence platform where marketers can co-create in virtual teams, power creativity and performance, with fast, efficient, and easy access to data across several device formats. And drive action. Canvas is available across all PepsiCo North American brands, enabling a consumer-centric approach to improve planning, media investments, marketing briefs, and campaign optimization.

The effort helped produce $5 million in operational savings, a 7% increase in marketing ROI, and a 250% increase in spend to market.
